How do I get assistance when a breakdown occurs?

Every effort is made to alleviate the likelihood of a vehicle breaking down, unfortunately there will be instances where a breakdown does occur. 

To ensure that you receive the optimum level of service, a bespoke service has been specifically developed for Europcar with the breakdown service providers, available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

👉 In order to obtain assistance when a breakdown occurs, the number for the breakdown’s assistance can be found in the contract or on the keys.

👉 Supply as many details as possible relating to the breakdown including the below:

  • Registration number
  • Make and model
  • Colour (if known)
  • Nature of fault
  • Precise location of vehicle
  • Contact number
  • Whereabouts of keys

Service should be provided within an hour of the initial call being made. 

However, there are some circumstances where it may take longer to attend. (eg.: adverse weather conditions, Bank holidays etc.) 

The breakdown provider will advise the caller of the estimated time of arrival at the time of initial call.

If the towing services can, they will fix the car and let you go on your way. 

However, if the breakdown cannot be fixed, they will tow the car to the nearest garage.

Please call back roadside assistance: this service will provide you with more information and help you with the rest of your trip
